Another beautiful tropical day with hardly any visitors around to enjoy it. Very few visitors were out on the beach or walking the streets of downtown Zihuatanejo.

Oops! The dredger being used to dredge Las Salinas Lagoon broke down. I wonder if that had anything to do with the very bad sewage smell my wife and I noticed late Tuesday night. I hate to think about what's being pumped out of there into the open air of the two holding areas with no liner under them to prevent contaminants from seeping into the ground. A good rain would cause quite a problem for that area right now.

The GOOD NEWS is that local rivers and streams continue recovering with what rains there've been in the sierra.

The BAD NEWS is that the price of oranges has gone up. Same with tuna.

I give my thanks every single day as I have for the past 3 and a half decades to wake up beside my wonderful wife with whom I fall more in love every single day, sometimes several times a day. She's the reason I describe myself as the luckiest Gringo in Mexico.
