Meteorologists and the local government are issuing warnings regarding La Canícula, and that we can expect extremely high temperatures (made worse by all the cement) and very little rain for a period of about 40 days. It's beginning and end aren't precise, but it is a recurring phenomenon that occurs during the months of July and August. Nevertheless, an area of tropical disturbance is expected to grow off our coast in the coming days, though its probability of formation is low. Nevertheless, it could still bring us rain, and heavy rains are predicted for our region around this Friday as tropical wave #11 passes by. There ain't no reason with the hurricane season.

Unfortunately, although many neighbors heard it and have asked around, no local media is reporting the apparent shootout that occurred around 5:00 a.m. this Tuesday morning in the vicinity of the Cancha Municipal. With each passing day I thank my lucky stars that brought me here. This little community may not be perfect, but it's still an incredible place to be.
