We are totally spoiled by our perfect weather. Last evening's rain made for a fresh clean world awaiting to greet us this Wednesday morning. The ocean has mostly calmed back down, and the only thing missing are tourists. There were very few around today. I only saw one family enjoying our downtown beach. There were no swarms of tourists returning from Las Gatas this evening when we walked to the pier. But there were a few extranjeros enjoying themselves at the bar at Daniel's Restaurant next to the basketball court. Good to see business picking up there.

The city is starting to spruce up the downtown area, the beaches, the beach entrances, and the pier for the upcoming high season. Good to see them get an early start instead of waiting till the last minute. Maybe because a woman's in charge?

This Friday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. at the Casa de la Cultura on the corner of Cinco de Mayo and Nicolás Bravo streets our extremely talented friend Antonio “Toño” Urbina Bello will be performing some of his music. I strongly recommend attending. I think you'll not only enjoy yourself, but that you'll be impressed and surprised with his talent. Entrance is free. We hope to see you there.
