I agree 100% regarding the unnecessary high volume of music. It is much more enjoyable when you are able to visit with others while also enjoying the music. Hopefully a change will come.

My apologies to everyone who was unable to visit my website or those of some of my clients today due to a change of servers and an updating of IP addresses. I found out I didn't know as much as I thought I did about updating the "glue records" of nameservers, and I had to learn the hard way. Oops. Won't do that again.

What a beautiful day we enjoyed in our region of the Costa Grande again. Absolutely spectacular! The temperatures were a wee tad milder (though with all the relatively new cement it's hard to tell), and there was even a slight breeze much of the day that made it even more comfortable, especially in the shade. The ocean water has cleared up quite nicely making for good snorkeling and diving. Our visitors are certainly getting their money's worth.

The Callejoneada de los Monstruos was a wonderful event this Wednesday evening except the DJ kept playing the music at deafening levels on the Paseo between La Cancha Municipal and the Museo Arqueológico. As someone who used to play in a rock band and who has been to all kinds of concerts, it saddens me that the municipal government doesn't take more care not to damage everyone's hearing, especially of young kids. The costumes were terrific, especially of the kids, and many of the altars are truly works of art. Everyone was having a wonderful time, which is certainly great to see, though it contrasts starkly with the sadness felt at this time of year by folks who observe Día de Muertos in its traditional sense, especially locals who have spent the day cleaning tombs and buying flowers for this coming Friday and Saturday. Kudos to all the restaurants along the Paseo who were passing out candy to the kids. I guess we're stuck with Jalogüín.

Don't forget, Deborah's Restaurant is the place to be for Halloween. Come join the fun, enjoy a delicious dinner, and dress up if you like. Deborah and her crew will be in costume. And be delighted in the wonderful spectacle as local children visit the shopping centers trick-or-treating in their Halloween costumes. Be sure to save room for Deborah's famous homemade chocolate cake!

A lovely two-bedroom, two-bath open-air traditional home located on a low hill just a short walk from La Ropa Beach. Features a full-kitchen, daily maid service and wi-fi internet service.
