Sunday night got cool enough to sleep under the sheets and to feel a bit of a chill in the morning for locals as the temp got down to around 22° and 23°C, depending on one's location. Monday temps seemed mild in comparison to previous days, and this Monday evening there was a nice breeze coming out of the south. It got cloudy for a little while Monday afternoon, but the clouds moved away towards the west without leaving any precipitation in downtown Zihuatanejo. It might've rained elsewhere in the region. Rain is in the forecast for this Tuesday afternoon. Keeping fingers crossed!

Gringos and anyone who wants to celebrate Thanksgiving this coming November 28, Deborah's Restaurant is accepting reservations for her annual Thanksgiving dinner with ALL the trimmings and the most delicious desserts this side of the Río Balsas.

Even though whale sightseeing season doesn't officially start until December 15, whales are already being seen along our coast, some with offspring. It's a truly beautiful spectacle! One of my favorite captains for cruising around with in the ocean for any reason is my longtime friend Ramón Olea with his panga Oleaje.

Hardly anyone around in the streets today. A few visitors were on our beaches today. Even though it was supposed to be an official day of rest, I saw students going to Vicente Guerrero school this Monday morning across the street from the museum to practice marching for Wednesday morning's parade. We could hear their teachers who march with them using their megaphones all morning long drilling the students.
