Easter (reply)

Almost everywhere! I was aware of that first full moon after spring equinox rule...always thought it was delightfully pagan of Christians to have such an earth related tradition.
One Easter I was fortunate to be visiting the greek island of Corfu where Easter was one week later than the western one. (the entire weekend celebration was full of ritual and over all a powerful and soul touching experience...even to this non-church goer)
the Greek Orthodox Church uses the Julian rather than the Gregorian calendar.. as do other countries....Ukraine?
In a rare occurrence this year, Easter is the same date on both calendars

Anyway Today is the first day of Spring!!! yay and also Nowroz Mobarak (Persian New year) A few days of wonderful celebration, feasting, gift giving and embracing fresh starts and new beginnings after the contemplative winter.
Happy Spring to one and all.
M

air quality question (reply)

Greetings everyone,
I am plotting a quick getaway to Zihua next week. I read somewhere that there is burning at the landfill and
the smoke is hanging over Zihua? is this true...and also when is Easter celebrated?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Warmest regards,
M.

I'm unaware of any burning at our local landfill. The only ongoing fire in the region is near Papanoa, to our south. Our local air quality is currently excellent, in my opinion.

You can check fires in our region detected by NASA via the following link:

I have a full visual of the landfill area and there is no smoke coming from it. Air quality has been good lately.

Thanks, Dave. Your area is usually one of the first affected when the landfill is on fire. My mother used to really suffer from the poor air quality when she was still alive and living in Ixtapa.
