What a lovely Monday morning we enjoyed in Zihuatanejo! People were at the beach swimming before the sun even rose. The weather is absolutely picture-postcard-perfect. Unfortunately, several people have commented recently that they've been stung by malaguas in the bay. So keep an eye out since they often float around in patches. The sea turtles love them, so if you have goggles or go diving or snorkeling you may see more sea turtles than usual following one of their food sources around.

If you were anywhere in Mexico or around Mexicans and heard shouts of ecstasy Sunday night, it was because Mexico won the CONCACAF Nation's League fútbol title match! ¡Ajúaaaaa! ¡Sí se pudo!

I sure love our local food and how my wife and daughter both pamper me with the delicious meals they feed me. This morning was fresh papaya, jugo verde and a bolillo lleno de huevos revueltos. Tomorrow it looks like we'll be enjoying licuados de fresa along with whatever other delicious goodies my girls decide on. They definitely spoil me rotten, no doubt about it. But then again, that's why I say I'm the luckiest Gringo in Mexico!

Imagine waking up here in the mornings, at one of the bungalows at Casa Ki on the beach in Troncones, a peaceful remote tropical village on the warm and friendly southern coast of Mexico: a place where natural beauty still rules and times seems to slow down and stretch out at the same time. A place where stress simply doesn't factor into one's daily routine.
