Life is wonderful, the water is very warm, but things aren't what we are "used" to.

The mar de fondo continues affecting our coast with waves from 2 to 2.6 meters, making the pier at Playa Linda unsafe to use for the past couple of days, which is likely to continue at least for the next couple of days to the consternation of the restaurants and water taxis. The government should never have changed the pier from Playa Quieta to Playa Linda.

The heat and humidity continue to remind us that the rains are near. For folks who have to work outdoors or without A/C, the days are becoming more exhausting. May and November are usually the two least comfortable months of the year. Once the rains start it should feel better since they tend to bring the temperature down. Forecasts show rains getting close to us during this coming weekend, though no rain is yet predicted for us. Keeping fingers crossed.

Remember, in Mexico Día de las Madres is this Saturday.

Also, the XLI Triatlón Internacional Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo takes place the following Saturday on May 17th. We should start seeing some athletes show up during the week.
