After refreshing overnight temperatures that made for nice sleeping weather listening to the surf, we awoke to a wonderful mostly light rain this morning in Zihuatanejo. Of course, the rain stopped as soon as I got back from taking my dog for a walk. Doncha hate when that happens?

It actually turned into quite a beautiful day, as you can see from today's photo. Flowers are blooming, the hills are turning green, months of dust are being washed away, and colors looks more vibrant and tropical again.

Rain is predicted each day for the rest of the week, and by this weekend it looks like another storm could start swirling off our coast much closer than the last one. Gotta keep an eye on the local weather if you live here or plan on being here.

Don't forget, weather permitting, this Wednesday evening around 7:00 PM or so, the Danzón dancers will be in Plaza del Artista. Come join in this long-time cultural event and see if you can learn some of the steps. This is some of the authentic beauty and magic that Zihuatanejo has to offer. Feel free to join in and dance or just enjoy the music and the dancers.
