A question for "Rob the Historian" (reply)

When was the canal completed (as we see it today) and by what gov't. entity? Only curios. Thanx

The canal was built during the administration of my old friend Arq. Armando Federico González Rodríguez during his first stint as mayor between 1978 and 1980. I'm going to guess that it was budgeted by the para-state entity Fibazi since I doubt CAPAZ or the local government had enough funds to cover the costs, but Armando is credited with its construction. I hate seeing the loss of the beautiful lagoon and all the groves of coconut palms and other fruit trees. Some silly people call such ecological disasters "progress", but I ain't buying it.
