Al Alto - RIP (reply)

Just learned that Al Alto passed away suddenly, a few days ago, apparently on 10 December in Washington state. Many long-time Zihua regulars will fondly recall Al playing for several years with Steve Calvert (RIP) and Ralph Alcarez at Paccolo's on Nicolas Bravo, and at the equally late, lamented "the flophouse bar" on Ejido.
For those who knew us in Zihua, I'm sad to report that my wife, Joanne, died in Kelowna, BC on 18 November, from complications of surgery. Joanne and I have been yearly visitors to Zihua for some 20 years, having first visited in 1995. We were last there only nine months ago.

I'm terribly sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved wife, Joanne. I wish you much love and strength.

If I see Ralph, I'll let him know about your mutual friend Al. His wife cuts my hair.
