Nice writing, amigo!

Yep, that was us!!! It has been SO flat since the beginning of December, and clear too. When we finally get waves again we will have forgotten how to get in and out through them. Today the water was so clear it was like paddling in an aquarium.

Did you catch the announcement that Mariachi Los Torcazos will be joining us at the SPAZZ event on Feb 4? LOVE them!

We enjoyed another day of summerlike weather this Thursday in Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa and the region of the Costa Grande. A shame there weren't more visitors around to enjoy it. Seems kind of slow this week in downtown Zihuatanejo, but there's still a high presence of extranjeros who mostly claim to be Canadians. Yay, Canada!

Zihuatanejo's bay continues to be extremely calm. I have to listen hard at night to hear any sounds of the waves, and in the morning it looks glass-smooth clear across the bay. People on their SUPs this morning looked like they were gliding effortlessly across the water. That you, Jane & Ray?

A bit of a breeze in the late morning and afternoon put a little ripple on the bay. But it seemed as if the palm trees were too lazy to acknowledge it, giving as minimal recognition as possible of any disturbance while pelicans and frigate birds wheeled about riding the rising columns of air.

Our pozole this jueves pozolero from La Jaiba Feliz really hit the spot! Good'n'good for you. Easy on the chile, though. I still forget sometimes and throw too much in, regretting it on those last slurps when I tilt the bowl back to finish it off.

One week until the arrival of our next cruise ship, the Amadea.

Bill Maher should be interesting to watch this Friday evening. Yes, he's an ass, but sometimes he has good guests, sometimes he's funny, and every now and then he still makes a good point.

Whether you want to go sportfishing, whale watching, sightseeing or snorkeling, my friend Capitán Ramón Olea of the panga Oleaje offers an affordable adventure waiting to be enjoyed. Ramón knows all the local fishing and snorkeling spots as well as what else is worth seeing. His 24' covered panga doesn't offer much luxury, but his expertise in fishing and his local knowledge of our coast and its marine life is second to none! Ramón practices "catch and release" fishing when possible.
