It was COLD this morning! At least 18°C if not lower. Had to close the window and turn off the fan. I imagined I could see my breath. Stayed under the sheet for an extra half an hour waiting for the sun to warm things up.

We're expecting a mar de fondo event to begin sometime this Monday evening with waves from 2 to 3 meters. It should gradually begin to diminish over the next 72 to 96 hours. Surf's up!

The water temperature is currently 26.1°C. Brrrrrr! The visitors seemed to be enjoying it, but locals, especially men, will be entering the water very slowly. I'll be waiting until it warms back up to at least 27°C.

There was a big fire on one of our hillsides this evening to the east of town. The dry season is here and the fires have begun. It was a little smoky this evening, but it will probably be much smokier in the morning when the smoke settles to ground level until the sun warms things up.

I want to thank Kathie and Dick for their kind words this evening as they greeted Lupita and I on the waterfront. Swelled my head up so much I was walking bobble-headed like a Mardi-Gras figure. Almost couldn't get through the door of our home.
