It’s from all the charged Mexicans ecstatic to see their team winning in the Mundial. ¡Olé!

A little cloud cover this Tuesday morning helped keep the temperatures mild until the clouds dissipated and the sun took over with all its might. Then there was no mercy for folks who found themselves out wandering or working outdoors. I feel especially bad for the folks at the Mercado Municipal who were lied to by the municipal government and led to believe they would only be in the streets for a couple of months when it's been almost half a year, and still no set date for their return to having a solid roof over their heads, running water and drainage.

Rain could be a factor this evening in the match between Mexico and Ecuador. If there's lightning in the area they'll have to stop the game. Let's hope not. The fans don't care much about the rain, but there will be large crowds of people gathered outdoors to watch the game on giant screens and to celebrate all up and down Reforma and Insurgentes and other venues in Mexico City. Coincidentally, it could also rain here in our region this evening and disrupt outdoor activities, though the chances are slim. I hear the Ecuadorean team was awakened early at their hotel by Mexicans singing them a serenata. How nice. Maybe they shouldn't have raided and invaded Mexico's embassy in Quito and broken relations between our two nations back in 2023. Hopefully we'll give them some payback tonight. ¡PONTE LA VERDE! ¡VAMOS MÉXICO!

Another mar de fondo event with waves from 1.5 to 2.1 meters is expected this Tuesday along the coast of the Costa Grande of Guerrero, predicted to last around 72 hours or so. Surfers should be pleased.
