I have those, but things don’t work that way anymore in Migración. You have to follow the rules now. The rules are pretty clear and straightforward now. Perhaps if the USA hadn’t become a racist nation committing war crimes, México wouldn’t have made their rules so strict.

Have you gone to the offices of Migración here? That should be your first step. They're probably going to ask you if you contacted the Mexican Consulate within 30 days prior to the expiration date of your document to explain your medical situation. If you did so, then you have your ass covered. If not, then they're probably going to say you simply waited too long and should've taken care of it sooner.

If they seem sympathetic to your plight, then the following info is what you need.

I've never recommended using an immigration lawyer because you shouldn't need one, though there's no shortage of hungry lawyers who will take your money to do what you should be able to do yourself.
