Morelia hotels (reply)

I've stayed at the Valladolid right on the main plaza, near the cathedral. If you're a light sleeper, I'd suggest requesting a room which doesn't overlook the plaza. Don't know the rate, since I was part of a pottery tour around Michoacan and lodging was included in the price.

Morelia hotels

Can any one recommend an inexpensive hotel in the old part of town close to the square. I have been told to stay in that part of town because it is beautiful. We can't decide if we want 2 or 3 full days to take in Morelia before taking the express bus to Ixtapa.
