Try calling Sam at Mariner's insurance. Insurance on our condo was less that $200.00

Keep in mind that the ‘ease’ of procuring homeowner’s insurance from strictly “local” sources, may prove a bit LESS of an ease in the event of an actual property / policy claim…..!

We’ve used GNP for years, with never a claims ‘follow-thru’ problem, as they are México’s largest insurance provider with nationwide agents. Reasonable rates on umbrella policies = home / health / auto.

In Zihuatanjo on Calle Vicente Guerrero the insurance office is across the street from the restaurant next to Banamex on the third floor.

We get ours through Seguros Espinosa; seguros_espinosa@hotmail.com 554-5310.
The owners name is Bernardo and his office is across the street from Tamales y atoles any on the third floor. His rates are reasonable and he speaks some english. We have used him for over six years.

Yes, you can walk into a banamex and get the insurance. I would suggest the branch in Ixtapa as they aren't as busy as the Zihua branch. It cost me about $800 US per year.

We bought our homeowner's policy through Intercam in Ixtapa. Walked in without an appointment, but I think the quote took a day or two.

I have my homeowner's insurance through Banamex, and am very happy with them. No agent, no hassle, you get your policy within a week.

I know I have read about this topic before on this forum, however I am unable to find the topic in the archives it was probably in a thread under some other topic. Can someone assist me in referring a reputable agency that can offer home owners insurance.Any personal testimonial would also be greatly appreciated.
