If you prefer a 45 minute flight instead of a 12 plus hour bus trip (& I love Mexican buses) check out Interjet. Virtually the same price on this most excellent airline.

Thanks for the reply, Rob. We were able to get a flight on Friday am, so we only lose 2 days on our trip. Probably not a great sign economically, but with the frustration we've been through today, this was a great gift to my wife and kids, who would not have as much fun as I would taking a bus. And thanks for your site. I read it all the time. And you put Jimi playing Little Wing on this forum about 2 years ago, and since then I listen to it daily on my Ipod. So thanks for bringing Jimi back to me!

Hey folks, I have a bit of a problem on my hands and hope you can help. Due to ice storms(?)in Houston, my childrens' passports were not reissued in time despite hiring an expeditor. So we must miss our flight from NY tomorrow. Now we can't get down there via Continental until Monday due to booked flights through Houston. But if we can get to Mexico City sooner, maybe the 8 hour bus trip to Zihua is the way to go, since MC to Zihua flights are also booked. Anyone have any thoughts or info about this?
