Thinking about heading to Playa Larga today. Any suggestions on where to have lunch and hang out?

We've tried many of the enramadas on Playa Larga this year, including several recommended by other posters, but our favourite is one that no one has yet mentioned: Restaurant Punta Playa Larga, the last spot at the southern end of Playa Larga, at the very end of the road, maybe 100 meters past the 5-story Hotel Marbella. The pool looks very clean, they are the only spot we've found that serves handmade blue corn tortillas cooked on their wood-fired comal. Best of all - and most important to us - it's QUIET. Nothing but the crashing of the waves and the swishing of the palm fronds. Nothing beside them to the south except a coconut palm plantation, and the nearest restaurant to the north is at least 50 or 60 meters away, unlike most of the other places on Playa Larga that are crammed-in cheek-by-jowl, and where the peace and quiet is regularly disturbed by pounding bass music either from the place you're sitting at, or the one next door. Blue corn sopes, cameronillas, pescadillas and quesadillas! 17 peso beer!

Had the pleasure of joining the Mole's at this restuarant today and it was wonderful. Quiet, wonderful service (attentive to your needs without being intrusive) and really nice food. Total bill for me, lunch and 2 beers and a 20% tip 100 pesos. Refreshed by the lull of the pounding waves and good company, priceless.
