Actually the malecon--one of Z's most photographed spots--looks like part of Detroit with its broken and rusted posts and torn and missing rope handholds.

What are the city officials possibly thinking ? Maybe they are too busy cutting down trees, blasting away on La Ropa, closing the central police post, and taking other steps to persuade 17 year Z visitors like us that, perhaps, we are not wanted anymore. Just wonderin'.....
