What a great photo slide! We were there about the same time and I was at the Sun and Moon but I don't think I saw you guys although it looks like we did a lot of the same stuff.I will have to download my pictures soon and edit and see how well I did with my new DSLR but it's a learning curve and I think I have some catching up to do after looking at a talented guy like you.Keep up the good work and see you next year!

It's no different than in the US or Canada. All you need is a good internet connection and time and you can download most movies before they are in the theatres, usually at least 4-6 weeks ahead and sometimes a few months early depending on the type of release they get.Folks download full DVD version with DVD covers and if you have the right equipment, you can burn to DVD hundreds a day and make a good profit.Mexico produces a fair amount of these but if you ever go to China,it is mind boggling the quantity of that there.Although they have police raids regularly,it's only a small percentage that gets confiscated. In Mexico,I'm not sure what the laws are and how they are applied but they were readily available in several open markets a few months ago at 1/5 of the US cost.

I choose not to make any mention of priated movies. We noticed last year some just released movies, including "Avitar", on the stands. Thought I'd put the photo up and see if any one up here recognized the cover even if the couldn't read the Spanish titles.

Wow! That has got to be one of the best photo tours I have ever seen of anyplace, especially of the Zihuatanejo area! Just superb! Your descriptions are terrific. Very helpful, interesting and informative.

The fish in Avi's net is called a "lisa", a type of small mullet often used as bait.

You can probably upload your video to Facebook or YouTube as is. They run a compression filter on videos to shrink them down to a more manageable size, though the quality will be better on Facebook than it will be on YouTube.

In your photo of the video store I'm sure you noticed the "Avispón Verde" (Green Hornet) and other new releases. Piracy is alive and well in the mercados of almost every city, town and village of Mexico.

Thank you so much!!!!

Trip Report In Pictures

After a week of sorting thru all the photos we came back with from our two weeks in Zihua, I've finally got a finished album on my SmugMug site.

It includes pics from trips with "Sharkboy", Hunter-Mex, Jamie and my scuba dives with Zihua Aquadivers.

Our tans are fading, but not all the memories of another great visit, our 19th in 22 years. The more we come down the more we find to do and the more great people we get to meet. Already have a good start on savings for next years trip.

Here's the link to this years album. Feel free to check out our other photo albums too.

http://bobmillie.smugmug.com/Vacation/Zihuatanejo-Feb-12-26-2011/16031441_swio2

Until next year, I'll have to settle for keeping in touch through this board. Thanks Rob for the great service.
