(reply) The same man sold a "round trip" taxi fare from the airport to Troncones with a return to the airport to some guests of mine last month. The day before they departed, I called to confirm the return trip, and I was assured he would be in Troncones to pick them up. He didn't come; I drove them to the airport and I understand he refunded their money. I will advise my guests in the future to NOT purchase round trip taxis. I would rather give our local taxis the business, and know that both guests and taxi drivers will be treated fairly.

Apparently someone named Jorge Grotewold Sánchez works with one of the Transporte Terrestre taxi groups at the airport and he allegedly sold a round-trip ticket (airport-lodging-airport) to someone who later wanted to cancel the return trip and get a refund, however he would not give a refund. If you purchase a round-trip taxi ride from any of the Transporte Terrestre affiliates be sure you are not doing business with this person and that a refund is possible should you change your plans.
