Hey, the quiet before the storm! (Santa Semana)

That's what I thought back when I took the photo, but so far there's not much storm since the news got out about the Playa Principal being closed to swimmers. Plenty of parking places and hardly any crowds downtown. Though the number of drunks does seem to be a bit higher (and last night someone hit with their car or kicked Doña Cari's cat Prieto that we care for since Doña Cari died, giving him an injured leg).

Z Quiet Street

One of my favorite streets in Zihuatanejo is Calle Hermenegildo Galeana, which is one of the more interesting streets downtown. A pedestrian street for part of its length with some fine lodgings, eateries and sidewalk cafes; and a quiet alleyway for the rest. Lots of nice things to discover here if you aren't already familiar with this street.
