Thanks for the picture of our favourite breakfast spot .......needed that today.........great view of the fishermen selling their catch and from the morning crowd there and real good food too

It is the building to your right as you face the bay at the basketball court. the referenced store is just past Cafe Marina (Joe's)

Yes, these are the best and bear no resemblance to to ones sold on the street. This comes up on this board regularly and even you have been in the conversation!

Yeah that was from 2012 just before my last trip to Z. A lot can happen in 2 years and being truly and locally knowledgeable about hamacas is an acquired skill...

The police station is over by the Deportiva. Yes, the soccer fields etc. They so sell nice hamacas. The one pictured by you are sold by several folks all around town, Barra de Potosi, and I have seen some of them at Playa Larga.

Well Carol, I should have known that you'd be super knowledgeable on this topic too. The one I pictured is a Brazilian style one. I usually favour Merida-style hamacas, but I'm openminded at this point as to what to pick up. Something that will fit in my bag along with the 20+ lbs of coffee, so it can't be as luxurious as that beauty you have on your patio....

Well, the one on my patio is not too heavy or bulky, but we really like it better than the ones we have had in the past so I guess those will be the kind we stick with until something better for us comes along. (Or the one we have wears out.) From the looks of them, they should last longer and they are not really expensive.

A friend of ours recently had several hamacas made to order for his hotel, but he was a little vague about where the jail is. Apparently, it is near the football fields. Local venders sell them around town so perhaps you could hook up with one of them.

On my To-Do list this coming trip is to pick up a hamaca for a certain someone back here in Victoria...I seem to recall that the local prison has or has had a project whereby the prisoners make and sell their hamacas. Any idea where I can purchase one, or as an alternative is there a business that stands out in Centro for their quality and selection?
