Thank you for the lead! Funny no one I remember mentioning it when we were in Patzcuaro summer 2012. Maybe the secret is to have a Doctor in Patzcuaro who has contacts/referrals there?

The big draw for us to QRO is the TEC 100 medical facilities. Haven't been able to find anything like that in MOrelia-yet.

Yep, Patzcuaro is our size of small city but finding the best fit for medical services is our challenge. And hoonose, maybe my wife will never find the medical care facilities in Mexico-in her opinion, not mine.

Do you not care for Morelia? so close to Patzcuaro too...would they not have what you need there? It is a big city, but I don't think as big as Queretero. just a thought viejo.

Could you contact me via email so we can discuss this further? We love Patzcuaro but find the requied medical services somewhat lacking. Yes, QRO is a large city but we might have to settle for that.

Queretaro is beautiful and has just about anything you could want if you like cities of that size. I can also say that there are very good medical options including the Tec Cien and Hospital Angeles. All three of my kids were born there and we were and are very happy with the medical care.

I've spent some time in Querétaro, and will be there again in August. I love both the state and the city. Among highlights I've enjoyed: Lovely, historic Qtro. city, which played an important role in setting off the War of Independence in the early 19th century. Picturesque Tequisquiapan, with its thermal springs and exquisite zócalo. Visit to opal mines, Freixenet winery, the amazing monolith at Bernal, the well-tended ruins at Las Ranas. There's some lovely, lush scenery and a bio-reserve in the Sierra Gorda in the northern part of the state.
Lots more info should be available on-line.
