I just arrived Zihua from Morelia via Parhikuni. I bought my ticket last night about midnight at an OXXO in Morelia. I tried for Autovias but they were full the time I wanted to travel so I changed. Nice trip, no hassles, and I even watched two movies on my way home.

That's what we would do, Rob, but our friends are going to be in Ajijic for a few days visiting someone and going into Guadalajara to catch the bus. So they really have to know things in advance.

But it looks like there are options. We will persist in trying websites to get current times and departure locations. Thanks everyone.

Regarding any busline anywhere in Mexico, it is ALWAYS better and more reliable to simply go to the Central de Autobuses and inquire about itinerarios and costos than to rely on any website. I would NEVER count on their website for schedules.

Forget the websites. Just go to their counters at the bus station when you are here.

Autovias.

Two services per day. Leave Guadalajara at 09.00 and arrive Zihuatanejo at 17.20. Not sure of the overnight times.

Double-decker buses with Wifi, individual entertainment screens etc. Cost one way was approximately 570 Pesos, if I remember correctly.

Autovías is another service I can wholeheartedly recommend. Mike hit the nail on the head. They have lots of little extras that make travelling on them quite a pleasant experience.

Inquiring for a friend. Is there any direct bus service from Guadalajara to Zihuatanejo? I've tried searches but I can't find anything. Thanks.
