Intercam this is fantastic news! All locals and visitors alike will be happy to learn about this change. It seems that every day it gets harder and harder to get access to pesos in cash in Mexico because the Mexican banks will not cash checks or accept traveler's checks or even accept credit or debit cards. And then the credit and debit card companies charge outrageous international fees on top of the regular ATM fees!!!

Passport
utility bill (from the place you are staying here in town when you are part time and also a utility bill for the place you own or stay in US or CAN)

Migration form ( to prove your status here)can be the FMM (white paper you get at the airport on your arrival)

Hi Tess! Yes, for now minimum amount checks to cash is $5,000 usd , we are working in to have authorization to cash minor amounts soon
