Because of loud music till around 5am on Friday & Saturday night from a joint across from Zero's, we went from Hotel Casa Celeste which we loved to Hotel Zihuatanejo Centro across from Cocanuts. The hotel is like in the 70's but clean and has a small pool. We stayed there on Thr & Fri nights before going to Pacifica Grand for 2 weeks and then Sat & Sun nights before our fight home Mar 7. At least the noise isn't as bad. We want to stay in Centro no more than a couple of blocks from the beach walk. We would rather be at Celeste but could not handle the walls verberating at 4am on Sunday morning.We got a special of $50.00US a night and felt it was worth the price even though it is older. At least it has a elevator for the higher floors. After looking around in Nov. of last year at the hotels, for the price, Hotel Zihuatanejo had more to offer- with the large room you got a small fridge plus ceiling fan and a/c. There were places cheaper that we saw but not all had a/c or a small fridge. We bring our 5lt box of vino and buy pop and beer and we can keep everything cold.

You are right on the highway and it is one of the only streets out of Centro going to Ixtapa. HIGH bus and truck noise.

The pool is small. No sun or view of anything.

I would definitely stay there until I found something I liked better.

The best thing about the hotel is that Papa's Loca is right out front. Great food as inexpensive prices.

I think it's proximity to Papa Loca (forgive the spelling) is a HUGE asset for Victoria. You could eat there every night. A couple of times every night.

I do not know but it has rooms overlooking the street and have rooms with king size beds that are at the bottom, at the entrance of the hotel is the restaurant potato crazy

Always stay with friends, but for those on a budget could be good. One constant we have heard over the years from people staying downtown is late night noise, bars and boom boxes.

hi I want to tell you about these great deal I found at a 15 room hotelito called Hotel Victoria. It is located on Heroico Colegio Militar, next to the all night convenience stores El Cacahuete and kitty cornered from 24 Hour Super Q.

The rooms have good mattresses, fan, cable tv and best of all a beautiful blue tile pool. You could hardly have better centro location with a pool for the tariffs, which are 30.00 dollars for single, 40.00 double, 3 to four people 50.00...I have walked into so many hotels and this was the best one...there is a restaurant attached which is open very late if you get hungry...owners name are Ivan and his mother Juanita . Excellent secuirty, phone and computer access there as well...check it out! If you plan to fly in without a reservation try showing up here.
