And I think I speak for thousands if not millions of my fellow guerrerenses when I say are we ever glad the presidente is taking these measures. We have been more than a little disappointed at the lack of measures taken by our new interim gobernador. As unpopular as Presidente Peña Nieto may be in other parts of Mexico, I cannot recall another presidente who has shown more concern for the state of Guerrero and backed it up with deeds since perhaps Presidente Miguel Alemán, who was also very popular here.

Let's hope the president will not lose focus on the people of these very needy states, and that the lives of the 43 students continue to be the seeds of positive change.
