Lots of easy options (reply)

The woman who sells tamales on Calle Vicente Guerrero is open for business after about 8:30pm on the sidewalk out front of her house. I know she takes large orders, as I have friends who order from her regularly.

Lots of easy options (reply)

You have lots of options, that you can easily handle after you arrive.

There are two women who sell tamales daily, from about noon on, in the parking lot of Comercial. They are on the north side, and both make excellent tamales. I'm sure you could arrange for them to have what you want when you want them, just by talking to them once you arrive.

The finest tamales in Zihua (IMHO)come from the second story of a house that sells dulces on Vicente Guerrero. From Benito Juarez, turn onto Ejido and go to the next street. That's Vicente Guerrero. Banamex is on the left corner closest to you. Park. Look for the wooden sign that says Dulces Tamales one door toward the beach on Vicente Guerrero. The first floor sells candy, sort of, and they will yell up to the lady upstairs. She'll come down and make arrangements with you. This is also across from the laundry that can be used as self-service.

In the Mercado, there is a small stand that always has tamales, too.

They are all very good. Keep it easy on yourself!

tamales for christmas (reply)

Claudia's tamales are wonderful. She used to have a little restaurant and specialized in tamales. Quite a few people still order from her, freeze, and take out one or two at a time when they have a craving...or company. Email: cooking.claudia@hotmail.com or talk to her husband Alberto on the cell: 755-55-77-153

tamales for christmas

I've read the posts from last Christmas, but I still need guidance. I'm looking for 2 dozen tamales to pick up on 12-24. I won't arrive at zihua until 12-21, and I think that may be too late to order. Can anyone direct me to a person who I could contact, by phone? By email? to place an order. Thankyou so much !!
