great pics Rob, where about is this market set up on Saturday's?

The EcoTianguis "Zanka" (I just realized they spell it "Sanka", same thing) is held each Saturday morning beginning about 8:00 am in the plaza and walkway in front of the "Vicente Guerrero" school across the street from the Museo Arqueológico de la Costa Grande. The school is on Juan N. Álvarez street in downtown Zihuatanejo. Maybe you've seen it?

Thanks Rob, I love EcoTianguis "Zanka", and it will be my first stop the first Saturday when we're in Zihua during the Guitar Festival. The smiles were a great touch, too!

EcoTianguis "Zanka" and Z Smiles

If you haven't been yet or even if you have, this is simply one of the best Saturday morning things to do that we've ever had in Zihuatanejo. Some really wonderful people work hard to bring this all together and offer local handcrafts, homemade tamales, aguas frescas, locally grown coffees, and really all kinds of creative and delicious things you will want to see, sample, try and buy. This is Zihuatanejo at its finest!

Maybe you'd like some homemade bread from this smiling baker?

Or how about some kickass mezcal? Finest in the region and guaranteed to make you happy!

One of my favorites is always the delicious local coffee served with a warm local smile!

Another of our absolute gotta-have favorites are the fabulous fresh tamales, also served with warm local smiles.

You'll find lots of handmade clothing and accessories. Heartwarming smiles are free.

And of course handmade jewelry and crafts are always worth a pretty smile.

To wet your whistle and keep you happy and smiling like these lovely ladies there is plenty of agua fresca.

And to make sure you stay strong and healthy and able to keep smiling you'll want to try some locally grown fresh fruits and veggies.
