Make a point of it Steve. We were both very concerned since he takes a blood thinner. Honestly, he did not lose much blood at all. Of course we had him wrapped within a minute and to the Doctor within 5, so we did not give it much chance.

I'll post my story also. My elderly husband got an infection and fell 6 times. The last time breaking ribs. We had Dr Grayeb out and he is wonderful. Came right over to the condo. He also got me a wonderful heath care agency called ambulances Ixtapa. They are located around Madera. The company got me 24 hour care and we are still using them. The guys are great. They also had 2 Doctors come over to the house to examine my husband because he was still not doing well and Dr. Grayeb was away. Dr Grayeb so far has been to the house at least 5 times and knows us and knows my husband and he is so knowledgeable about his condition and the way he is.
I have been very worried about having to go home. NOOOOO say it isn't so but Dr Grayeb assured me that everything can be taken care of here. The only thing that can't be done is a brain scan which they would take in Lazaro Cardenes but the Dr says that is not necessary because he knows Morris so well.
I am very relieved. If we were home they would have taken him into the hospital ,done hundreds of tests and poked and prodded him needlessly. I have found everyone to be very concerned and caring.

Carol, so sorry to hear of Paul's accident. Sounds very scary. I took coumadin for several years and it was very hard to simply get a shaving cut to stop bleeding, so I imagine it took quite awhile for Paul to stabalize. Hope he recovers well. I might bump into you again on the Paseo when I return to Z Feb 14 - 21.

This is what happened to my sweet husband today. I posted about it on facebook but thought some of you non facebook people might want to know about it.

Christmas Eve during the day the glass tabletop on our upstairs table got broken. Today we went and bought another one, but thought it would be good to take the two broken pieces downstairs now so when we brought the new one up there would be no mess. Going down with the first half was no problem. The second half was a little more than half and the corner of it hit the metal railing and shattered. Paul had three cuts. One very small, one huge and one horrible. Due to the fact he takes Warfarin everyday for blood thinning it was pretty scary until I could get towels around it and to the Emergency clinic. Dr. Morelos is very close so we were there in less than 5 minutes. Julian was right there holding the towels tight so Paul would not bleed much. He was there with us the whole time and is still here, even though Paul is now asleep. He goes back tomorrow for the wounds to be cleaned and checked and rebandaged. He goes again in a week to get all the stitches out. He is on antibiotics and a pain killer. Julian and I will take good care of him. He bounces back quickly.
