Holidays and tourists come and go, but life still passes at the same slow pace here, sometimes seeming almost as if it stands still.

I couldn't resist posting this photo of our grandson at the Cancha Municipal the other evening with his ball in hand eying the basketball hoop waaaaay up there, thinking about that shot... A scene repeated around the world wherever basketball is played.

Another timeless scene is watching our fishermen come in with their catch in the mornings, racing to get to the beach to offload their wares and sell them before the other fishermen beat them to it and get all the sales. All under the watchful eyes of frigate birds and pelicans.
