If you are buying single tickets, the best time of day to go is 2pm. There is a twilight rate on green fees and cart. As well there will be plenty of carts, nobody plays at this time. There is a lot to be said about late play, there is no humidity compared to 7am to 10:30am (when all the water comes out of the ground), as well the wind is usually up from 1pm until 6 pm. I played there today Saturday at 145 pm was the only person on the front nine at the time.

One other question. (reply)

Baily, I believe they have 25ish carts. If they are all working---that is not enough, and when they are not working, you get to hang out an wait. Heard today that they got 4 of the broken ones on the road, so that means two more foursomes get to play. Best or call ahead, and reserve the cart, at whatever T-time is available.

Last year they did not have a lot of golf carts, which at times required waiting. Have they increased the number of carts this year?

Palma Real Golf Course Conditions? (reply)

Agree totally with Tim. Our experience is only the last 11 years, but this is the best ever. And because of the maintenance, the course is actually playing faster, not as many lost balls in the ruff and vegetation. The greens have been speeded up since the new year, and are much faster than the first week we arrived. The new sand is a real challenge, and needs to have some time to settle. Someone said they actually lost a ball in the sand! The only issue continues to be not enough carts! They could take many more bookings each day--but often the carts are all booked, so there is a gap in the late morning, until the early birds finish their rounds. We stay on the course, so we see this each day. I am posting this now, instead of golfing, because we could not get a cart with a booking this morning.

Palma Real Golf Course Conditions? (reply)

The course is in the best shape ever in the past 20-25 years.!!

The sand in the sand traps is white, powdery and deep! The fairways are verdant and the roughs are thick but cut short.

The greens are still slow by some standards but in much better shape than last year.

You will be pleasantly pleased when you go to the course.
