Porters are only allowed on the outside of customs, but you will find them near the carousel on any domestic inbound. So if you are connecting from the df you're all good.

I'm guessing you mean regarding ARRIVING, since there had been a discussion some months back about arriving passengers having to manage their own luggage from the arriving baggage carousel through Aduanas (Customs) and to the public area in the terminal. The last time I picked someone up at the airport I noticed that porters appeared to be inside the ARRIVALS area and helping passengers. I don't know if they are only allowed to handle luggage after it has passed through Aduanas but that is what I would guess.

They would not allow them to come inside the doors 5 weeks ago when my sister arrived or 10 days ago when my son arrived. Only after you are out of the enclosed area. I have asked as to the why and they just say "reglas".

there were no porters when we arrived January 3rd. We sure could have used them with two people, four suitcases and a dog.

We just returned to the states yesterday and there were porters to help us with out luggage as we entered the airport.

I believe your question is are there porters to help you in Zihua with your luggage.. Unfortunately two weeks ago they are still only able to help you after your luggage passes through the x-ray machine and you push the wonderful red/green light. When you get it to the door they are happy to help you at that point.

Can not imagine what they are thinking in this regard. Most people who come here can need assistance and get none.

What situation are you asking about. When we arrived with our luggage we were greeted by a polite porter who asked did we need help with our luggage. He helped us with our luggage to the United counter- I have a bad back after falling off a scaffold 11 years ago- before I would have said no. The only problem I see is when you arrive and all the timeshare hawks wanting to get you to go to one of their places.
