Whales & Dolphines @ Playa Blanca

Every day,at about 0930, we do our "Beach Walk" from La Condesa in Barra de Potosi to just beyond the Brise Mar enramada (about 4 kms) and back. This morning between enramada Chula Vida and Brise Mar, we were treated to a 15 minute dolphin show. Sometimes they jump, splash and play; but today they were all business on the hunt.

We thought that would be it for the day in terms of sea mammals; but no ! When we went back to la Condesa in the afternoon for a frosty cold golden delicious, we were treated to a 20 minute humpback whale spectaculo. We saw breaches, back stroke fin slapping and tail slapping. It looked like just one whale and it went in a leisurely fashion from waters off the Chula Vida to Los Moros.

What a perfect day - especially since the Canucks beat Boston this evening 2 - 1 in regular time !!!!
