Your picture brings back memories when we stayed at Villa Morro up above the Yacht Club. That one early morning looking down at the pier and the pelicans all over the fishing boats and the 1 fisherman casting his net from the front of his boat and 3 or 4 pelicans sitting on the back- it was a beautiful moment in time. The view from Villa Morro is worth the taxi ride to the small hotel- we would walk the long stairway down to the road to cross the bridge by the naval station to go to town.

A Fistful of Z

Since it's been a while since I've had time to post any photos I thought I'd at least get one in.

Although it looks like we're in for some unseasonal rain this weekend, just a few days ago there wasn't a cloud in the sky as far as the eye could see. With my fresh-brewed locally grown coffee in hand I was up early on my rooftop the other morning enjoying the magic of the early twilight and the cinnamon-sweet scent of the bakery a couple of doors away when I got a call from our friend who sells fresh bolillos on the pier saying she was saving a few for us. So my saint of a wife Lupita, our chihuahua L'Ola and I hustled on down to the pier before sunrise to enjoy one more of what we consider to be the many benefits of downtown Zihuatanejo living. Of course we had to stroll down to the end of the pier just as the sun was breaking over the hills across the bay, and lo and behold PURE MAGIC! Aren't we lucky?!

Oh, and the bolillos were delicious, too!
