The closest thing to a flea market ie: people selling used things is on the weekends on the streets behind the mercado. And this is literally on the streets to the chagrin of the shop owners who want their customers to find parking and on the sidewalks. You never know what you will find and I love it.

The crafts markets are the closest thing. We used to have a decent flea-market style of market near the central produce market but the last batch of municipal politicians just divvied it up for themselves and so I'm not sure who will continue there now that they tore down all the old flea-market type of stall structures and built new cement locales where I believe tenants will be paying much higher rents (besides paying more for electricity since they will almost have to have lots of fans if not A/C now). I find it depressing just to go there and see the empty stalls where friends used to sell all kinds of goodies. Generally a visiting tianguis is not welcome here except by tourists and visitors since they compete with locals for scarce customers.
