Can't wait to sink my feet in the sand. Only 6 more months. Please tell Joe Mary from Sacramento says hi and will see them soon. I look forward to the breakfast at Joes too! This is unusual for him to be open this time of year, right? I am so glad that he is doing so well.

Waking Up Z

It is a privilege to wake up in Zihuatanejo. The coolness of the morning is perfect for getting chores done such as checking the tinacos, watering and trimming the plants, sweeping the sidewalk, doing a load of laundry, washing the car, and taking a stroll along the waterfront. Like the military, many of us get more done before 8:00 a.m. than most folks do in an entire day. Maybe it has something to do with our delicious locally grown coffee, which can be enjoyed at Joe's Café Marina with breakfast while watching the daily hustle and bustle at the fishermen's market. One of many privileges of waking up in Zihuatanejo.

Just before the sun rose one of the clouds to the east seemed to glow a warm orange for a few minutes, just long enough to run out to the beach and snap a few pictures. Here's one I hope you like.
