As of today, since April 18, 2020 Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 2,200 confirmed cases of Covid-19 (2 more than yesterday), 180 that have resulted in fatalities, 23 that are currently active, and approximately 1,855 that have recovered. We're hangin'!

We thought Zihuatanejo was going to get the vaccine after Acapulco, but Iguala and Taxco are getting theirs before us. But I expect we'll get ours soon enough. Wonder what flavor we'll get?

Amazing that a super cargo ship can get freed from the Suez Canal in less than a week while the yacht in the entrance to Marina Ixtapa has been there over 2 weeks and only now is anyone taking measure to stem the pollution it's been causing, with no removal in sight.

BTW, the currents have been so strong at the northern end of Playa El Palmar that the black flag is flying which means that swimming is currently prohibited there.

Our weather remains absolutely purrrrrfect. Nice refreshing evenings, bedsheet optional. Nice warm days, clothing optional. ;-)

Tourists enjoying our downtown beach.
