As of today, since April 18, 2020 Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 2,207 confirmed cases of Covid-19 (5 more than yesterday), 181 that have resulted in fatalities, 25 that are currently active, and approximately 1,860 that have recovered. Still no active cases currently being reported by our neighbors Petatlán and La Unión. With the relatively low turnout of tourists so far for Semana Santa, we may not see much of a spike as we did after Navidad.

There will probably be some protests around the area due to the disqualification of Morena's candidate for gobernador by the nation's Instituto Nacional de Elecciones (INE). Shouldn't be a problem for anyone visiting. With the amount of security present I doubt there is any risk of violence unless someone tries to spray graffiti on our home, them I may have to take action.

Our amazingly perfect weather continues. The sun has shifted so that the northern side of buildings are starting to receive more sunlight. Adjust your comfort zone and that of your plants as necessary. A bedsheet at night remains optional with a fan on low.

Big thanks to all the local restaurants managing to keep everyone fed while observing difficult sanitary protocols. We continue having our meals delivered or else we get take-out.
