Got a nice thunderstorm getting warmed up. It's expected to continue raining most of tonight and tomorrow.

Pretty much everyone over 18 is being allowed to register for the Covid-19 vaccine, and I expect the 40-49 añeros will be getting their second dose any day now. La Unión is already applying theirs as well as for folks who missed previous shots.

We can also get vaccine certificates for travelling, if necessary. I understand the website has been overwhelmed and is having problems, so be patient.

Plenty of activity at the pier with pangas coming and going against the beautiful backdrop of our verdant tropical paradise.

Raulito playing at the beach in the late afternoon a couple of years ago. Thanks to the donations, we were able to acquire a device called a mitochondrial stimulator, or something like that, which I'm led to believe will help repair damaged cells and help Raulito fight off infections better. We really want to get him off the feeding tube, so his aunts have been working on the liquified foods, getting him to ingest them little by little. We also acquired guanabana leaves to make tea with and hopefully help him beat this damned illness.

At this point everything is worth a try. Best of luck to your grandson.

Any luck contacting St. Jude's?

Yes, they are in pandemia mode and not actively accepting new patients, but my doctor is welcome to contact them with Raulito's medical history including all the tests and procedures he underwent during the past year IN ENGLISH to see if he can be accepted as a referral. Even if I dropped everything I'm doing and concentrated on translating all those documents, I believe it would take weeks if not months. It's to be expected. First we have to receive the full documentation, and we are still awaiting arrival of his files. St. Jude's isn't looking like a viable alternative.

We have absolutely no intention of going anywhere, but were successful in printing out our documentation of vaccination today. Easy Peezy.
