Still no confirmed cases of Covid-19 along the entire coast of the Costa Grande.

Huracán Roslyn continues growing and slowly moving away. We got some nice light rain, and Friday remained cloudy most of the day. The port was reopened to navigation by small craft. The tourists who arrived mostly on buses today didn't seem to mind. Lots were swimming in the bay anyway, though there really should be signs warning people NOT to swim in the bay during and right after rains for health reasons. What? No testing of the bay water by health officials? What kind of tourist destination is this?

Unfortunately there was a robbery and a shooting yesterday on Avenida La Boquita at one of the small tiendas near the bakery Panadería while my wife was in front of the bakery. Apparently the gunman just shot the ceiling or a wall and not anyone, but everyone in the vicinity ducked when they heard the shot. This is the time of year for robberies and holdups, so be alert.
