Lots of festivities this evening of Día de Todos los Santos in Zihuatanejo. The parade of illuminated boats in the bay was quite popular as was the Catrina fashion show, and it looks like several thousand people showed up along the downtown waterfront and the immediate area, many with costumed children doing their Jalogüin thing. It was quite a festive and joyous atmosphere, in stark contrast to the sentiment there will be among mourning family members for Dia de los Angelitos Difuntos and Día de Muertos this Tuesday and Wednesday.

Humpback whales were sighted in front of Zihuatanejo Bay. Experts say this group of whales is on its way to the coast of Oaxaca.
