Charlie's in Ixtapa

We will be back in paradise this Jan-April after a two year absence, and have heard that Charlie's beach bar, next to Tanta Vida, is closed. It certainly was a pretty rustic stop, but had fun servers and cold beer! Can anyone confirm the closing? Is Tanta Vida now the only non-A/I bar left on Playa Palmar?
Charlie's in Ixtapa
Charlie's is open. They cleaned up the lower level and constructed an upper level, similar to what Tanta Vida has done. The pool and massage tents are open as well.
