delivery address service?

Are there any services locally that I can use to receive DHL/FedEx/Amazon shipments?
Nobody delivers where I live. A family member has been kind enough to let me use their address, but that's getting to be a bit too much of an imposition.

I used DHL about 6 weeks ago and arranged to pick up the package at their office in Zihua. I do not believe there was any extra charge. DHL was persistent in telling me that I had about two days to pick up the package or it would be sent back. I believe Fed Ex will let you pick up at their physical location as well.

Yes, I get pick stuff up at both all the time because I do not have a street address. They are within walking distance of each other and apparently there is a good small restaurant behind DHL.

1.5km is a little impractical for me to park at one and walk to the other.
I'm getting conflicting information. Last week my son went into the DHL office (the number listed on the services page here is not working) to ask that very question and was told "no, we don't do that". Obviously if there is an issue with delivery--like you are not there to sign--and the driver has to return it, then yes, they will have you come in and pick it up, but as a regular service, no.
So, now I have two questions. Does DHL provide a receiving service or not? Does anyone?

He didn't ask for their phone number while there? I've updated the numbers in my listing. One is a cell number and the other is their national number. They also have a website that I list.
As far as I know all package delivery companies with local offices will receive packages to be picked up. DHL has been here longer than any other service except the post office. They are also the most expensive. Nowadays you do NOT need a street address to have a package delivered. You use the Google Map on their website to pinpoint the delivery location, and you use descriptive directions to assist the delivery person. Those of us who reside in Mexico are accustomed to this even with the post office. I recommend registering with them on their website before using their map location feature. I've used it several times to locations with difficult addresses, and I've also received packages using this feature.

The phone number wasn't the question at that point, and if they tell you they don't offer the service you need, what's the point of getting the number?
So yes, I will try that feature, but I have doubts if they are going drive down 2km of ragged dirt road to find my place. I really, really want to be wrong.
Under the topic of this mssg., why has no one thrown out the word ocurre? (or is it occure?) The sender sends the item to the address of DHL (locally) with the name of the person receiving it, and maybe the person's phone too. DHL has changed so much recently, this may no longer be viable. In the past, I have picked up things from them in this manner, rather than waiting around home all day for the delivery to show up.

That is my next question for the people picking up at DHL. Do you--for example-- order from Amazon using the DHL address?

Yes, we have done just that. We use their address with our name. Packages from Amazon, from my brother - whoever. We send it via DHL, track the package and go pick it up. Whoever the package is addressed to needs to pick it up and bring your credential or passport or residence card as I.D.
The problem is, Amazon Mx. does not use DHL exclusively. In that case you must go to Estafeta or FedEx and pick it up. They didn't bring it to my home address 'cause it was addressed to the DHL office. You'll know it's NOT coming DHL when you get your tracking info/number. Mercado Libre operates the same way.

Well, I'm trying an experiment. Ordered a couple items from Amazon using the descriptive address on my CFE bill. Added my GPS coordinates in the special shipping instructions. One of two things will happen, the shipper will receive it, and either deliver it (woo-whoo!!) or let me know to come pick it up.
Sucess!

Thanks in no small part to my wife's ability to give navigational instructions in Spanish, a DHL driver successfully navigated to our location!
We have a couple more items that we ordered through Coppel coming by FedEx, so let's see how that goes.
