I looked in the archives and the most current information (2021) puts paying a parking ticket over by the jail. Is this still correct?
Yup, finally happened, and while inside paying for the car registration!

Sad, But I have to laugh....Make sure you take a taxi to pay for your ticket...

Watched two cars getting ticketed this morning on Adelita. Did not appreciate that, in addition to the ticket, the police helpfully removed one of two license plates - presumably to encourage prompt payment for return!

removing a plate of a vehicle in violation is standard procedure and it does encourage prompt payment.

They always remove the plate. That's how it's done here. That's why you see so many cars with only one plate, if even that. Oddly, I've never seen a car stopped for only having one plate or none.

Talley ho that is correct you pay at the cop shop with the high walls, across from all the soccer fields near Bodega. Sorry if I encouraged you to go to Finanzas. About 5 yrs ago I was able to negotiate my ticket a little bit with some photos but a month ago I got one for simply being parked with the vehicle pointing in the wrong direction on a one way street. Its a cost of urban living.
