Speaking of the weather...
Do you happen to know where to find record temps? I'm curious about the lowest recorded temperature. I've Googled a lot but haven't found that little bit of information. Lowest I've seen at my house in 2+ years is 17.

Guerrero's health officials confirm 2 currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, 42 in Acapulco, and 125 in the entire state.

While the nights are still cool enough for sleeping under a sheet, the days are getting warmer. Got up to 33°C according to some thermometers, and it felt like it. Really missing the ambient-temperature-reducing shade from all the trees that have been cut down to pour concrete in the neighborhood in recent years. If you check my Weather page you'll see the ocean is actually warming up along much of the coast just to the south of us as I expect it will do here soon, too.

Fortunately the patches of marea roja that have been spotted in the region haven't been much of a problem. Haven't heard of any fish kills. Let's hope the marea roja stays mild this year.

Attention shrimp eaters, ocean shrimp is now OUT OF SEASON along the entire Pacific Coast of Mexico as of today. A local shrimp farm has some product ready for the Semana Santa vacation, but personally I'll stick with locally caught fresh seafood. Saw a lot of good looking fresh sierra at the fishermen's market this evening.

Sometimes time seems to stand still in Zihuatanejo bay. I wonder how long we can continue to enjoy this beauty before greedy developers and politicians ruin it forever.
