Guerrero's state health officials confirm 7 currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, 3 in Petatlán, 1 in Técpan, 3 in Atoyac, 2 in Coyuca de Benítez, 90 in Acapulco, and 191 in the entire state.

Gonna be a busy weekend. Both the Triatlón de Ixtapa and the Calentona fishing tournament happen this weekend.

There are about 50 Haitian refugees in Zihuatanejo who were sent here from Mexico City on what appear to be false pretenses to get paperwork done at our Migración offices, but Migración here said they can't help them. Besides food and a ride back to CDMX, they need a place to shower, wash their clothes and rest. While we saw a few of them walking around earlier, apparently they're staying at the bus station awaiting their fate. It would be nice to show them some Zihuatanejo hospitality.

Hot weather continues, but thankfully the mar de fondo event has let up. Now if only we can get some water from CAPAZ... Just another day in paradise!
