Cruise Ship Chaos

What´s a catchy phrase in Spanish for cruise ship chaos x 2? Because, according to the schedule listed on this site, there are TWO cruise ships due in this port, with no adequate pier, on the same day - Oct. 5th. Given the logistical challenges you have outlined, and the frustrations that cruise ship passengers are sure to experience, do we think they will report favorably on their Zihuatanejo experience? Certain European tourist destinations are looking to LIMIT tourism, we are told. For tips on how to do that, European tourism planners might visit Zihua on Oct. 5th.

I don’t understand your pessimism. While I expect there to be some logistical problems, chaos is normal here where the only other condition seems to be extreme tranquility. It’s a natural state in the physical and social world. Life in Zihuatanejo is mostly long periods of blissful tranquility interspersed with periods of brief chaos. Daily life here is chaos in slow motion. I don’t expect both ships to show up, but the last time I checked that’s what their official itineraries said. And if they do both show up I expect there will be some heavy traffic for a while on the Puerto Mío road both arriving and leaving, but we’ve received 2 and even 3 ships at a time here, and local tour operators know the dance steps to this tune pretty well.
